Smock this!

Hey Cart-

Get a good look because I think this will be the first and last time you ever wear something smocked. Your highly organized, planner Mom was smart enough to grab a smocked, Christmas outfit at a consignment sale (I think over the summer). I even grabbed your sister a red, Santa smocked dress. I brought them home and then put them in your closet, which I never go in. (What type of clothes do little boys need to hang up?)

Well your forgetful Mom completely forgot about these outfits. Determined to get at least get 1 wear out of this outfit, I dressed you up in it for church last weekend. Candy canes are still appropriate in January, right? 

It is a pretty adorable outfit, but it just didn't seem like your style. We met Daddy and Maevy (post-Zoo adventure) at church, and Daddy almost didn't recognize you in the nursery. He immediately made a joke about the word "mock" being in smock clothing for a reason. And of course, this was in front of a Mom (of 6) who loves to dress her youngest kids in smock clothing every Sunday. She (shocker) loved the outfit on you.

Well post church and doughnuts, we got home. I plopped you down and told Daddy to take a picture of you. Minutes later, you were back in your relaxed wear.
