5th Birthday Party

The day couldn't come soon enough! I had to stave off your desire to have a million different themes for your party, which most recently was magic. But one of the many great things about you, you're pretty "go with the flow" like your Dad. Oh- there's a party for me? It's police themed. Cool, sounds great!

You invited 5 friends: Isaac, Dylan, Ashton, Nico, and Willa

When guests arrived, they decorated their water cup and we got everyone in uniform - hat, badge, ticket pad and some handcuffs. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold - so we had to move the party indoors. I moved some furniture around and made do. The dining room was our headquarters...then oh no (via megaphone!):

911 Call: There's a bunch of bad guys on loose. Find them and put them in jail!

911 Call: There's a missing dog. Let's go talk to the owner and look for clues!
Maevy attempted to act cry while the officers asked lots of questions about the missing puppy. You all followed the paw prints and found the dog!

911 Call: There was a car accident. Let's go investigate!
Maevy was riding her bike when a car hit her. We call her an ambulance and ask the driver a lot of questions. The officers writes them a ticket and put them in jail!

911 Call: The bank manager has new information about the money that they robbers stole. Let's go investigate!
Daddy - bank manager- said that when the robbers were stealing the money, they said something about hiding it where you sleep. We search high and low and under the mattresses! We find the money and return it to the bank! Great job, officers!

Phew..time for a snack. Cop corn! and a powdered donut cake!


Time for a donut relay.
Then let's make it harder and put everyone in handcuffs.

Now let's try eating a donut without any hands! (We did this twice!)

Happy Birthday Carter! We had a blast. I could do those 911 calls all day. The megaphone is our new favorite love/hate toy.
