Hey Cart-
Well it was bound to happen...you finally had a not so great hearing test. You aren't quite old enough to start playing the hearing test "games" and the wind and bird sounds aren't nearly as interesting to respond to as they were a few months ago. At one point, you looked at me and said "Tweet-tweet, bird"- rather than turning your head towards the sound. Even without the full hearing test, what Ms. Danielle did get still seemed consistent. We'll try again in August, and hope that we'll be able to switch to every six months soon.
Then we saw Dr. Mukundan. You were in a great mood when we saw him, talking up a storm. You even announced "Uh oh, I poopy"- which is a good sign that we are getting close to potty training season.
Here are your growth stats-
Weight: 31.4lbs (92%)
Height: 35 1/2 inches (78%)
BMI: 17.52 (54%)
Next up- your ENT - Dr. Goudy. Your tubes look great, and you've been ear infection free for almost a year now. Nice! We scheduled your CT scan for June to see if we can gain any more info on your hearing loss. Depending on the results we'll know if we can expect it to get worse or if an injury to your head would cause additional damage. Basically- we need the all clear so you can start T-ball next summer. :)
Finally we saw Ms. Geneine for a speech check in and vocab test. You did okay on the vocab test, BUT for remainder of the visit, you were talking a ton. You did so well that Ms. Geneine wants to switch to visits every 2 months. Whoa! I could tell in the last month that your 2-3 word combos had really picked up; so it's great that Ms. Geneine agrees. Just the other night- you were bossing Daddy and me around- "Sit down Mommy. Sit down Daddy. I want to play game.* Here Daddy. Here Mommy. I'm ready." (*We have color/shape matching game we play almost every night.) Then later- playing with stuffed tiger. " Oh no, Tiger bit me. Ow! No, Tiger. I don't like that! Uh,oh- tiger bit Mommy! Ow! It's okay."
Ms. Geneine also taught us a listening game that should help with your older hearing tests. Pretty soon they'll give you an object to drop in a cup/bucket when you hear a sound. You immediately loved it and we've been playing every night since. We just practice the ling six sounds, which you mimic perfectly and then drop your block in the bucket.

Keep up the great work, Cart!
Love you bunches,
