High Five Man

This is a classic Carter story -

While waiting way too long for Daddy to pick up our pizzas, you rolled down your window and started asking random strangers (on a busy Saturday night in 5 points) if they were the pizza man? They would say "No, sorry." After minutes of this - it then turned into -

Carter: Are you the pizza man? or Do you have pizza?
Stranger: No, sorry.
Carter: Ok - high five!?
Stranger: would then give you a high five

Then you just started handing out high fives - people would walk by and you would yell - High Five?!

You got lots of attention and of course your more shy sister eventually joined in. And a bachelorette party walking by - that actually did have pizza - came back asked if we wanted their extra pizza. We said - sure!

I think you should set-up a high five booth at the Tomato Art Fest. I think you'd be busy. :)

Playdate

Oh and Daddy got distracted talking to a friend while you were get your haircut last weekend. It's a little short...but I'm confident those curls will come back. :)

Bobcat

So- clearly Mommy doesn't know how to hold her phone while taking a video. Sorry, Cart. But the good news is you got to DRIVE A BOBCAT!

Only a week after we moved into the new house, the house next door was sold to realtors who are completely gutting the place. The first thing they did was demo a old garage, tear up the yard, and use a bobcat to move a bunch of trash. We became friends with the workers, and you quickly became obsessed with the bobcat.

I kept dropping hints to the workers that we were going to get in that bobcat. Then one afternoon, they asked if we wanted to take the kids for a drive in the bobcat!

Daddy picked it up pretty quick and both you and Maevy got to "drive" for a little bit. We were all completely covered in dirt, but I think it was worth it. You were so sad later that week when you wanted to go check on the bobcat and it was gone.

It's been a couple weeks and you are still staying..."No more bobcat. Bobcat all gone. I drove the bobcat."

We have officially commenced into the typical boy - transportation obsession period. The highlights of your days are filled with "big-trucks!", fire trucks, school buses, bobcats, excavators, crane trucks, and diggers.

And guess what show Maevy turned you onto..."Bob the Builder"? (mind-blown)

Dog-Dog

Lately, we've really been working on animal names and sounds. Right after your birthday, you started yelling dog-dog at any and all dogs. The above video is some proof. Dog-dog also sounds a lot like Duck-duck. You are constantly signing bird whenever we go outside. And just today your teachers heard you say fish (more like shh) with your friends while looking at the class pet.
