Compare and Contrast

I promise your Dad and I will try not to compare you to Maevy too much. But within hours of your birth, your extended family was asking for lots of pictures and wondering if you looked like your big sister. So I did a quick comparison photo. I think you guys look exactly alike. You have considerably less hair, but your faces look very similar.

You're only a week old, but here a few ways that you're different than your big sis-

1. You DON'T like sleeping in the co-sleeper. This might change, but right now you like falling asleep next to mom on the couch- either on my lap or between the boppy pillow. At night you like sleeping in the sleep positioner between Mom and Dad.
2. You DON'T like the swing. You've fallen asleep maybe twice in the swing, but usually you last about 2 minutes and then start crying.
3. You DON'T really respond to the hair dryer. Following the 5 "S" rules, the hair dryer would usually work its soothing charm with Maevy. It doesn't seem to phase you. You just keep crying.
4. You DO like your Soothie pacifer.
5. You DO like your gas relief drops. Just a little taste of the drops will calm you down.
6. Like all babies, you like your head rubbed when trying to fall asleep.

I'm looking forward to learning more about you each day. Just finished this post...and you're finally asleep on my lap. :)
