3 Month Birthday

You're 3 months old! I kind of forgot that 3 months is when babies start smiling, laughing, and talking a lot more. It's a fun stage because you are finally giving Mom and Dad some much needed love back.

You had a busy 3rd month with more doctor appointments and your Hearing Birthday. You are growing so fast that your first set of ear molds that you had taken last month are already too small. Because of this, we had to take your right hearing aid out- too much feedback. We should be getting your new molds in the next week or so.

Also Mom just found out that the approval came through on your ordering your brand new hearing aids. They are supposed to be water resistant; so hopefully you'll be able to do water play at school in the coming months.

This month we also met with your developmental therapist- Miss Lee Ann. She is going to be visiting you every week to play games, sing songs, and keep an eye on your overall development. She already told Mom about the Ling Six Sounds- /m/, /oo/, /ah/, /ee/, /sh/, /s/. I think we'll be doing lots of Ling Six activities in the coming years.

Hearing aside- you are talking a lot. You love when Big Sis makes piggy noises with you, and every time Mommy plays pat-a-cake with you, you start cracking up.

And how about those chubby legs...last month Mommy bought a package of Size 1-2 diapers from Costco. Since we're doing mostly cloth diapers at home and school, we haven't been using them that often. Well you are officially too small for them, and now I'm having to give away almost a whole package of them. I retired most of your of your 0-3 months clothes this week and the onesie in this picture is size 6 months.

And finally- after a rough week of you waking up multiple times at night (not even to eat, just to smile and suck on your pacifier) last night, you gave Mom a wonderful (month) birthday present. You slept from 6:30p to midnight and 12:30a to 5:20a- followed by a cat nap until wake up time at 6:30a. Yay!

Here's your ominous warning- only a month left to enjoy these middle of the night feedings. Enjoy them while they last. :)
