Hearing Birthday

 Happy Hearing Birthday Carter!

Today was the first day you got to hear all the wonderful sounds around you and hear more clearly Mommy and Daddy's voices! Your first set of ear molds are red and white, per Daddy's choice. You currently have some "loaner" aids from Vanderbilt until Mommy gets your TN-state funded paperwork all figured out. It kind of worked out because the audiologist actually ended up recommending that we order the bigger aids, just to give us some head room in case we need to turn them up in the future.

You were fussing when we tried putting in the first aid, but the second we turn it on, you got quiet and started looking all around. It was pretty cool to see. We can't wait to see so many more smiles as you react to all the funny things Mommy and Daddy will do to get you to laugh and listen.
