Go Nats

Carter,
I have to apologize to you (and the rest of taylorseast) for yesterday's outburst.  The Nats won a game in the bottom of the 9th with a home run by Jason Werth to get into a decisive Game 5 of the NLDS.  And as the thirteenth pitch flew over the wall, into the Cardinals bullpen, I jumped up and down and yelled and so loud that everybody else in the house got a little scared.  You looked at me like "Dad, I heard that without the aids."

Your mother is great about my love of baseball and letting me indoctrinate you and Maevy into the culture of the game, and specifically the Nats.  I hope you and Maevy choose to root with me instead of rebelling and pulling for some team like the crappy Braves.

So, again, sorry for freaking you guys out.  But I hope that my boy (born the same year of the Nats World Series birth - I pray) will be understanding, like I will be when he comes home telling me that some new band is better than the Beatles.

Love,
Daddy
