Pie Face Game was a big hit - after dinner
Here's your first Annual Update - (how I have I not done this yet?)
Things you love:
1. Legos -
Somehow we went 6 years with just 1 set of Lego duplos that Maevy would occasionally play with to this year where we had to buy a huge under bed storage bin for all the legos. It's the main thing that you and Maevy will play with together and you can never have enough Lego people!
2. Outside-
You love when the weather gets nice and we can be outside all the time. You ask to eat lunch and dinner outside. You love playing in the sandbox, baseball with Daddy, and now basketball. Often- you say "It's just beautiful out here." or "It's just perfect."
3. Youtube kid videos-
We're still working on your "video" pronunciation, but if you want some chill time- then videos are where it's at. I try not to focus too much on what you're watching, but it's usually kids opening up toys, playing with play-dough, or firetruck/construction videos.
4. Candy/Coke/Juice-
You still don't like chocolate and aren't really into cake. You've finally gotten into vanilla ice cream. Your favorites are starbursts, skittles, and gummy bears....and will do just about anything I need for a piece of candy. Just last night, Maevy accidentally spilled some skittles on the floor...and while Maevy and I quickly tried to pick them up, you turned into a fast acting vacuum cleaner, quickly grabbing as many as you could and stuffing them in your mouth!
Don't even get me started on coke - what started out as a joke 3 years ago is now officially an issue. Mom and Dad don't drink a lot of coke, but will have 1 on the weekends. When we do, you are quickly at our side- drilling us - "Is that Coke? Can I have some? Can I? Can I?
Same thing with orange juice or really any juice - we seriously can't even buy it. One tiny glass and you become a juice salesman "Hey- we have orange juice. Do you want some? It's really good! You should try the orange juice!"
5. Lovie-
You still love your lovie...but have recently gotten a little better about doing without. I even think you went to bed without it recently. I've been threatening that it might not be allowed in the PK class.
Things you are good at:
1. Swinging a bat-
You love to hit the baseball off the tee and actually have decent form. Your attention span in field during games isn't the best, but we're working on it.
2. Shooting the basketball-
We just got an actually basketball goal, and you can like make it in the goal -I'm impressed!
3. Scooter-
You and your sister have been loving the scooter and I'm still impressed with how fast you go!
4. Homework-
Daddy and I have both been pleased with your stamina and willing to work on your homework - which can include everything from Ms. Liz speech words, reading, letter identification, and writing your name. You've made great progress in all departments and we're very proud.
5. Making friends-
I'll never get over how friendly and outgoing you are. You're never afraid to ask a random person a question. You love meeting new people and especially love meeting new, older girls, and demanding that they give you a hug goodbye. Recently - I can get you to do stuff at baseball practice if Lucas' older sister, Lyla, asks you to do it.
Also recently at the pancake breakfast - you easily walked through the line a 2nd time asking all the volunteers to fill up your plate! And Daddy - said you were a big hit the plane back from Orlando - while yelling at the flight attendant - "Excuse me! Excuse me! Can I please have more juice!"
Goals for next year:
1. Work on pre-literacy and reading - I'd really like you to master some sight words and Bob books over the summer.
2. Work on bike riding - We need to get you a bigger bike with training wheels. You just never seemed interested in the balance bike.
3. Work on staying on bed -
You are totally not consistent. Sometime you're super easy, but sometimes your kind of awful constantly leaving your room and playing games with us. You're 4 now, and I'd love for you to just listen to us - and not have to temporarily lock your bedroom door while you settle down and fall asleep.
4. Keep up with speech and articulation goals-
This will forever be on here...but you're doing great. I've got no worries. :)
5. Stay adorable and snuggley -
It's mostly a joke, but you are the best cuddler around and I'll forever love your giant brown eyes, insanely cute dimples, and (for the most part) sweet demeanor.
Next up...a fire-riffic party!

Love you-
Mommy
