I entered you and Daddy into the meatball competition at our church's San Gennaro festival over the weekend. You were super excited leading up to it. Your team name - Meatwad and Son got a good laugh. But when it came time to dig for meatballs - you tried a couple times, but then gave up quickly.
I do love that you're pretty much game for whatever - Even without your help, Daddy came in 2nd, almost winning the gift card!
Other highlights from our all day Saturday at festivals - San Gennaro and the Starkey Chalkfest included -
- You asking multiple vendors for food/drink without payment - you asked for lemonade and popcorn repeatedly. One vendor - even called you aggressive. Not sure about that - persistent and ballsy maybe.
- You running from jump house to jump house for a good 30 minutes, super sweaty!
- At my suggestion, you took an impromptu shower/rinse off in a water fountain that we found that shot water so high it was more like a sprinkler!
- Post festivals - we headed home for actual showers and dinner...you and sister were both in bed by 7:30a and slept till 7am.
