7th Birthday!

Annual Update:

Things you love:

1. Art/STEM-

You still love building and creating things. All your 1st grade writings said that STEM bin was your favorite thing to do in school and your favorite word was "creativity". I love that you love being creative. 

2. Outside/Bike Riding-

You met a goal! You are officially a confident bike rider, and you even got one to keep at Emmy's house. When it got nice outside, we would come home from school and immediately you would go ride your bike!

3. Friends -

You are still huge socializer and while this was the first year dealing with some not so great social interactions, you seemed to handle it okay. Your whole class had to write 1 sentence about something they liked about you and they all either said some variation of funny, nice, and special ears. 

Goals:
1. Writing -
Your summer homework is mostly writing related. We are going to work on writing confidence and tapping out those sounds as you write. You can do it!

2. Hand-eye coordination -
Daddy wanted to get you video game system to work on hand-eye coordination. While I'm not a huge fan, I recognize the value. We'll see if your Donkey Kong skills can improve. :)

Bedtime update:

You are officially a couch sleeper. Every night you use me as body pillow and sleep on the upstairs couch. Like we knew when you were 3, you like falling asleep with the tv on and touching someone. That's not changing anytime soon and you won the battle. I can't remember the last time you slept in your bed and now it's basically just a desk, dresser, and Carter dedicated playroom. :)
